I wish to find out the familial background on a particular person to find out if we might be related as cousins or not. I want to know if their father and my father are brothers. What I know already, I am not sure about, but I am confident there can be some type of paper trail research that can give answers. Their father is supposed to be my father's full or half-brother with a different last name. This person's father and themselves do share the same last name even though him and his father did not grow up together. Also when I did a background search the name this person (my friend) gave me for his mother had came positive for possible relative and the only other name for possible relative that was revealed was a man's name that is not the same as the name of his supposed father and my supposed uncle (whose last name is different then me and my father's last name). Was my friend adopted, which would be very much fine with me, and why does my father have a different last name then his brother? FYI: neither of us grew up knowing each other nor did either of us grow up knowing our fathers.My father, uncle and friend were all born in Belize, but are now and have been for a long time legal citizens of the United States. My friend grew up in Los Angeles, CA (when he moved to the US in the 90s) and currently lives in Oklahoma City, OK and I live and was born in Philadelphia, PA. |
