I am a photographer studying for my MFA in LA. I am really interested in how the truth of a photograph is changing and how digital images can prove events even though their pixelated form makes them vulnerable to tampering. I would really like to interview/correspond with private investigators who use surveillance techniques, particularly those who have been in the business long enough to have used analog equipment.
I'm interested from hearing from a variety of perspectives.
My dream would be to come across an old archive of surveillance photographs that I could use - I am not interested in revealing or presenting identities or situations, betraying confidences etc, just in how this profession uses photographs. Which is what I do.
